Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a youngin' and my mom was practicing around the house, getting me to do the 'Mommy and Me Yoga' VCR tapes with her as often as she could. She eventually got her yoga teacher certification and I went through my phase where I thought yoga was stupid and wanted nothing to do with it. When I was 12, my mom dragged me to a Bryan Kest workshop where some magic happened and I realized how amazing and transforming yoga is. From that day on, I was hooked and wanted to go to classes often as I could.

For me, yoga is not about how many cool poses you can do or what kind of workout you feel you are getting in, but about feeling balanced and at ease with your surroundings. I wanted to spread this feeling to others, so this past year I did a 200-hour yoga teacher certification to make that dream a reality. I learned an incredible amount and am excited to share it with the world as I teach more and more classes!
